Pairs

I created the cycle "Pairs" in 2012, the year I got married. I began to think about how everything in the world and everything in life is somehow connected to and dependent on something else. I drew first on my experience as a twin (fraternal) and the brother of twins (identical, seven years younger) and on my new experiences as a husband. The sculptures in this cycle are pairs of stylized male and female figures, each symbolizing two characters or elements that are intrinsically linked.
