I am a landscape photographer who lives at the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park, in Wales. I look out of the window, and I see the beautiful Welsh mountains, the lush green fields, and know that I am surrounded by the freedom of the hills, and open space.

I am a passionate believer in the countryside, its protection, and that we should all value and enjoy it.

Most of pictures are taken locally, within Wales, and the Marches (the borderland where Wales and England meet), although I do also range further afield.

I have been taking pictures since I was a teenager, and loved photography since my parents gave me my very first camera over thirty years ago. A few years ago I 'went digital', and in many ways have not looked back.

However, I hold to the principle that I will not do things in processing my pictures that I could not do in a traditional black and white darkroom. I then produce fine art black and white prints, printing them myself on archival, acid free, cotton rag papers and using pigment inks.

Untrained in photography, other than by my own experience, reading, and talking to other photographers, I do however hold degrees in ecology, natural resource management and development studies. These have informed my interest in the countryside, nature, landscape, and man's influence and place within each of those.
