Corey McGovern is a contemporary artist based in Charleston, SC. Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Corey has been creating art since childhood, developing lifelong dedication to storytelling through visual imagery.

After high school, Corey began an apprenticeship in tattooing, working in the industry for 8 years, The discipline and precision of tattooing shaped a strong foundation in line, shading and composition- elements that continue to influence her art today.

Corey's work often explores themes of resilience, memory and the raw beauty of everyday experiences. Her work balances grit and tenderness, inviting viewers into narratives that are both deeply personal and widely relatable.
