Lorenzo Muriedas

Lorenzo Muriedas is a Cuban-American visual artist whose work spans over three decades of creative exploration. Born in Havana, Cuba, and educated as both an artist and a chemical engineer, Lorenzo blends precision with imagination, crafting a distinctive artistic language rooted in surrealism, symbolism, and emotional resonance.

His body of work encompasses traditional media, including watercolor and acrylic on canvas and paper. Each piece reflects an inner dialogue between memory, fantasy, and dreamlike visions—often influenced by Caribbean nature, spirituality, and human vulnerability. Muriedas has participated in exhibitions, artistic collaborations, and interdisciplinary projects with renowned Cuban artists. His art is a continuous evolution of form, texture, and metaphor.
Now expanding into digital platforms, Lorenzo continues to explore new realms of visual expression while preserving the soul of his traditional roots.

Graduated as a Chemical Engineer in Cuba in 1987, Lorenzo expanded his academic background with formal art education between 1988 and 1990. He attended various courses at the National Art School (ENA), as well as conferences and seminars at the Superior Institute of Art (ISA), further enriching his creative and conceptual foundation.
