Shankar Gaur

Shankar Gaur was born in Kanpur, India and was raised in the central Indian city of Bhopal. He completed his BBA from Bhopal University and an MBA from the University of Pune in India.

He has lived and worked in France, Switzerland, South Africa, United Kingdom and presently lives with his wife and two boys in California, USA. He has traveled widely having visited more than 200 cities worldwide.

His day job involves working as a VP for a BIG 2 technology consulting firm. On weekends and holidays he spends time painting, mostly acrylic on canvas. His work is multifaceted
encompassing various themes he picks up from daily life scenes, objects or suggested by family or friends. His special interest lies in painting Buddha.

His favorite artists are Vincent van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, M F Hussain & Raja Ravi Varma.
