For a long time I could not decide where to sit to paint this picture. I went back and forth until I got tired. Then I sat down and the picture was created in one go, without corrections, everything was as it should be. It doesn't happen to me often.

In March 1953, Marek Raminski was born in Mazury, Poland, the son of an engineer and an accountant. The grandfather, a studied painter, exerted a special influence on him from an early age. That's why Marek comes into contact with fine art at an early age. The smell of fresh oil paints and turpentine burns irretrievably in his memory. Just like the memory of sitting as a model of the grandfather at the age of 4 years. At the age of 19, his talent shows for the first time. He spends a day with a friendly architecture student in the park. His friend paints a tree, Marek does it spontaneously. About the result shows his friend excited and motivates him to continue to draw. Very young, he founds a family and is already the father of twins, while still undergoing training as an engineer at Danziger Polytechnic. In 1987, at the age of 34, Marek traveled to the West for six months to earn money for renovations. It should be noted that in former Poland, a simple locksmith or welder earns six times an academic degree. After These Six Months When he snoops into a more liberal system and has much contact with free-thinking, well-educated Poles, he can no longer imagine life in Poland, which he feels increasingly as a prison. Since then he lives in Germany and has found his second home here. It took him another 12 years to find his first teacher with an acquaintance of an artist. Marek has been drawing for some time and receives recognition from a befriended painter. Another two years later, he will be admitted to the painting class of Professor Siegfried Anziger at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf as a guest student! Well, somehow a hobby has become a vocation.
