In an ever-changing world it is often very difficult to change yourself, your perceptions, your prejudices and your inspirations. It requires looking at yourself through a different lens. That is what Chu, fashion photographer and artist has done. Chu has examined himself in light of his art form, the tools, the outputs and the economics of his work. His method utilizes photographic and graphic techniques to re-express the images and interpretations of currency, the exchange of wealth, and the broader implication of change. What precipitated this change, from successful fashion photographer to focused artist? Chu has battled demons since the attacks on the World Trade Center in NYC in 2001. Prior to this infamous day, Chu experienced abundance, success, a sense of purpose and creativity. All things seemed to come to Chu up to that day. But on that day he lost friends. After that day he lost clients. Looking back on the time since then he has had many changes, but the fundamental change he observed was a disruption in his relationship with wealth, money, and currency.
