I have always been fascinated by abstract art, and the way that different combinations of shapes and colours can mean vastly different things to different people – my work is very much concerned with modes of perception. I am inspired by the ways in which maths and physics shape our world; I also find that my previous career as a cartoonist has an enduring influence on my lines and attention to detail.
