An artist my entire life. Born into a family of artist's with deep and rich appreciation for culture and value. My father an artist and writer, my mother an Opera singer. Charting a career relevant to the times we live in is a complex task. I have chosen a life of looking through the fashion glass of culture and art to bring forward my own vision. This can be a solitary task at times.
In all of my work there is a duality. Not uncommon in the arts. I can't help but see the world around me as one surface or face, and another ayer or subtext as the other side of the face. In the "Bull series I am courting the ancient "Crete" civilizations. The "Bull" becomes a two sided or split skull. Dividing the skull into two parts is a metaphor for light and dark, good and evil, heaven and hell etc. We see all around us, a duality, in nature and human kind. We are truly divided your intuitive (right side) and (analytical) left side of our brain. This division leaves a space in-between that can evoke a middle space that leaves room for introspection. The "Bull" in many cultures has been an archetype for spiritual power and strength, particularly in ancient Greece and Rome. Many of my references are from literature and writing...

After a BFA in fine art I became interested in the lost wax method of bronze casting. Living and studying in Mexico with foundry masters I worked and cast in Bronze for many years. As a sculptor I have taught welding and metal work as well as drawing and painting for most of my life. Early on in my career I have started several art co-ops in Santa Monica (TAG) and (STUDIO 31) in Los Angeles. I am an awarded artist by the city of Santa Monica and recognized for my iniative and creativity in and for the community. Throughout my career I have studied and taught many media. My present work represents a transition from three dimensional to two dimensional representation. But the sculptor still thrives and surfaces in all my art.

A long diverse history of awards and shows. My art resides in many collections in the United States. Any and all exhibitions and collectors documented by request.. Saatchi is my first foray to a larger and diverse global market.
