n these works, it was essential to bring together dissonant materials such as silk, recycled materials and neon lights. This creates an elegant design in which to encapsulate a personal message, from the smallest detail to the final whole. Every single work is characterised by a profusion of gold and splendour such as we find in Byzantine mosaics, in Simone Martini's works, in ecclesiastical vestments and finally in noble palaces. Art has always represented Light as a sign of the divine and, in fact, ‘Helios’ originally indicated the manifestation of the Greek gods of the sky who reveal themselves as both blinding daylight and lightning, as was later to be the case for the Romans and later for the monotheistic religions. There is no life, there can be no beauty without light. Art has an ‘aesthetic’ character, as an object of pure sensibility - lowered and relegated to that space-time dimension that is human and that delimits human sensibility. YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU MEAN. Abstract and colourful subjects speaking of nature and sustainability invade the surface suggesting emotions. For these subjects, techniques have been used that have always distinguished the art world: gold leaf, oil pastels and a multitude of sequins, showing how the relationship between art and society changes over time and space.
