Veronica Gudmundson

I originate from Sweden from an area with vast, tranquil forests and magical northern lights, which has influenced my practice as an artist. From an early age an interest in astronomy awoke and has been a red thread throughout my artwork.
I am working in a multi-disciplinary way, mainly with painting and soundscapes together with light-installations. My work is based on a cosmological perspective and the connection between microcosm and macrocosm. The images are visualizations of astronomical- and natural phenomena. I seek the connection between the visible and invisible, the refraction between light and darkness and the correlation between colour, form, sound and space.
