Born in Oak Park Illinois, USA. I am a painter, writer, architectural designer, sculptor, I took an early retirement from my Professorship and advertising careers.I paint, mainly figures, I write novels and a column, blogspot, I survived polio as a lad to become an athlete and artist. I prefer to paint beautiful women and action/adventure images, as well as some religious art. I was an academic child prodigy in primary school, and won a Chicago Art Institute scholarship at age 11 for figure drawing. I won Ford Foundation Fellowships, HEW Scholarship, and a Merit scholarship in figure Painting in college. Now I have returned to painting after a long hiatus.

I often under-paint using the accepted process of the Old Masters on my oil, tempera, acrylic paintings, in one or more of the following media, following in descending order of frequency: oil, acrylic, tempera, pastel, watercolor, or digital image transfers of my sketches and/or models.

EDUCATION: PROFESSOR EMERITUS PETER BAGNUOLO (BAGNOLO-pen name). At ages 6 and 9, Peter was rated as a “Child Prodigy” IN BOTH ART AND ACADEMIC AREAS. Peter's Reading Comprehension Iowa Benet Tests Scored as Graduate School Level at Age 10; City of Chicago/Suburbs.
A Scholarship to Art Institute Chicago as Gifted artist-age 11; based upon a body of work which included larger than life sized figures of the Birth of Jesus painted as a mural on our school windows.
Secondary School Passed with Honors Entrance Exams to the top Three of America's Prep Schools, as well as St. John’s in England-Selected/Accepted Fenwick then Number One in Nation. PETER won a Three Discipline Ford Foundation Fellowship in Architecture, Anatomy (Physical Anthropology) Illustration/painting. That was the only triple BA ever given at CSU, along with a Full Tuition Gifted Scholarship Senior Year Undergraduate School in Figure painting, the first such scholarship in 25 years awarded. Selected as Primary Graduate Research Assistant Senior Year-Given Full Lecture and Valedictorian Privileges in Anatomy and was commissioned to paint and sculpt portraits of three segments of our predecessors from sculls in which I was commissioned by the Anthropology Department...
