Luigi Carriero is a self-taught artist from Gallipoli (Lecce). His paintings frequently explore notions of identity and duality, presenting works that are not only despairing and uncomfortable, but also underwritten by optimism and promise.

He credits elements of his artistic aesthetic to his strong love for music, cinema, and fashion.
