Rome, 5th October 1964.

Inspired by the decollage of Mimmo Rotella, Brivido Pop physically and digitally tears and rips billboards around the city to expose, layer after layer, an overlapping that is a century-old and discovers unprecedented and fascinating combinations. It is an aesthetic short circuit, a bizarre but ingenious slot machine. The final product is a digital "ricollage" printed on canvas (edition limited to five copies) and enhanced with genuine peeled paper that blend into the photographs so as to further confuse the eye…
