Todd Siler

My art explores the nature of creativity. It interprets how the human minds' creations are connected to everything in nature. As a “Cerebralist,” I combine the sensual & spiritual, the physical & conceptual, incorporating abstract and representational forms with my metaphorical imagery. I love experimenting with all kinds of mediums and means of art-making. My artistic influences include everything from Prehistoric Art to Postmodern Art, which are all part of the interrelated histories of Art-Science-Technology. When you experience my artworks, I do hope you feel the same sense of delight-n-wonder that I feel while creating (drawings, prints, paintings and sculptures) with full curiosity and imagination. Hopefully, it inspires you to always experience the unity of nature!

Pre-Med Program and Art History at Bowdoin College (B.A.,1971-75); Art History and Fine Arts at Smith College (12 College Exchange Program, Spring 1973 & Spring 1974). Received my Master of Science in Visual Studies (M.S.Vis.S., 1981) at the Center for Advanced Visual Studies, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies in Psychology and Art, M.I.T. 1986.
