Ilze RēValde

I practice old master painting techniques with transparent layers of oil to increase depth and color as well a I paint many layers on top of each other, so that the previous one is showing through. Every surface reflects many colors that have to be shown. Every color makes me feel different and is connected with a certain mood and sensation. That's why my paintings are so colorful and differ from each other. I love to paint portrait's and body's in natural surroundings to show the perfect balance between us and the nature. I have been practicing oil painting since the age of 13 and till now it is my biggest passion.
