I have been intrigued by powerful and strong images of women in fashion magazines and their qualities of allure and desirability since I found my mothers old modelling photos - their symmetrical, striking faces can have quite a hypnotic influence and effect on the viewer.
My work has investigated the perceived negative and harmful side to the fashion and media industry as well as the hardship of being a woman within it. While at the same time being drawn to expressing and celebrating their empowerment and beauty.
