Sisterhood

I’m a huge fan of texture. I love impasto, sgraffito, I enjoy including & upcycling fabrics,embroidery, feathers, leaves, pressed flowers,etc. The main reason I love this tangible look is for the aesthetic, unusual & artistic value. I think there is a magical combination of surprise and familiarity to be found, a real (hi)story to be heard and an instant happiness and pleasure to be felt. The positive impact on the environment is just as important. The paintings in this series are about pure love between two different flowers of the same garden, where the top sister has also a motherly appearance, inspiring protection and care.
