Hello Everyone! I used to work as a photo model and was relatively busy. But one day, very unexpectedly I got diagnosed with CANCER. At first it was a shock, but I tried not to focus on my illness and carry on as normal. Unfortunately normal wasn't possible, as my looks changed and modelling had to be put on hold. During my treatment I had a lot of side effects. One of which was insomnia. One sleepless night when I felt fear and pain and confusion, from desperation I decided to sit and write a letter to my cancer. I wrote: "Dear Cancer, since our acquaintance wasn't planned, but did happen nevertheless, let's make an agreement. I will not interfere with you and you will not interfere with me..." I got a leftover sheet of paper from my letter. And to distract myself from pain I started drawing things on it. And suddenly I noticed that it calms me down and takes away my pain for a while. I got armed with canvas, paints, brushes, palette knives and started painting. It got me enchanted and swept away and I started making paintings. The art of painting and drawing have helped me overcome the side effects of my treatments and I gladly dived into it head first. I love experimenting and mixing styles, techniques, colours and mediums. This is my new beloved hobby and I hope will become my new profession one day. I don't have any professional art education and am self-taught, so please, don't judge too harsh :-)
