I was born in Kotlas, Russia in 1956. Presently I live and work in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I am a member of Russian Artists' Union and regularly participate in numerous regional and international exhibitions. My works were widely exhibited in Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Ufa, Nizhniy Novgorod, Krasnodar. I work mostly using original self-invented oil pastel technique in a way resembling encaustic. I am practicing various genres: still-life, figurative art, portrait, abstract art and tend to decorative and geometric abstraction. I also do a lot of printmaking, linocuts as well as oil and acrylic painting. Among the artists that inspire me are Max Beckmann, Richard Lindner, Richard Diebenkorn, Alexandr Zadorin. Laureate of prof. V.A. Vetrogonsky’s award at a First Saint Petersburg International Graphic Biennale, 2003.
