Aerial cityscape of Dublin and the River Liffey. The Ha'Penny pedestrian bridge in Dublin was built in 1816 as a replacement for the ferries crossing the River Liffey that had become rather dilapidated. The levy of a ha'penny, or half-penny, was charged for a period of 100 years.
