Eelke Renschke Bekkenutte Female dutch artist (30y), focused on abstract painting and mixed media, based in Lisbon for two years. She is inspired by the intangible multitude of stimuli that we receive through our senses. The stream of daily life things that flow into each other and rush through each other. This she manifests in abstract expressive paintings that attempt to capture this movement of input. Where every stroke, shape or color is ‘something’. ‘Movement in the collection of collected raindrops. He wants to drink her milk. Decent people who secretly long for more wildness. Come, take off that diaper and become independent. Destroy the blue light and let the sun shine on your pale vampire skin. The life jacket is only needed when we almost drown. The head stays above and kisses a stranger. A baby's spit on her freshly washed blouse. My shoe is lost, how do you lose one shoe? Socks often disappear. Strange houses in an unknown country. There is war and there and there and there. Who has the power? Can I do something? Maybe you will hit me with one of your arrows. Freedom will emerge from its own shadow. Telephones take up the void with crooked shapes. The space from which all creativity arises. One's mind, independent and capable of insane things, will slowly be destroyed. A fiery sun drips lava, melts, burns, by a light that is not its own. Broken shards of a glass. The hammer drives the nail deep into the wood. Was life this fast before the digital age? Where can I find space? Transpiration. Heat. Childbirth. Will the word ‘boredom’ still be in the dictionary in 100 years? The air has a suction power that cannot be measured. Let alone understood. Pumped lips fly high like balloons in the sky. Something rustles through the leaves. I knew you would call. Tapping on a bench that is not mine. The glasses are now plastic. Is efficiency good for the environment? What is efficient? The world is falling apart, or has it always been like this? An ice cream, licking, slurping and cuddling’ by E.R. Bekkenutte
