April Painting

Helen Chambers is a London-based abstract artist. She graduated from Winchester School of Art in 1995 with a BA Hons in Printed Textile design and went on to enjoy a long successful career creating artwork for fabric prints. During lockdown her interest in painting started to develop and she took several online art courses. Her work is rooted in abstraction, inspired by the natural world, memory, and personal experience. Using layered textures and vibrant mark-making she explores the interplay between spontaneity and control. She exhibits and sells regularly through online platforms and galleries.  Helen has been selected by Saatchi Art’s Chief Curated three times for ‘New This Week’. ‘My work is an intuitive exploration of memory, landscape. Painting for me is about freedom and creates the space to explore and express emotion. Through layered paint, mark-making, and texture, I aim to explore the unknown journey abstract painting can take me on, allowing each piece to evolve naturally. Inspired by nature’s beauty and its ever-changing forms, I create spaces that invite reflection and emotion for the viewer.’
