Midnight sky Painting

I'm a freelancing presenter, facilitator and coach-in-training that is a creative at heart. I was born in Israel, Haifa but have been living in South Africa, Johannesburg since I was 2 years old. I've always had a passion for the arts - one of my 3 degrees is in Live Performance, I sing in a band for old aged homes and I used to pencil sketch in high school art class. During lockdown I self taught painting through videos and simply playing with adapted images or random ideas. I started with abstract paintings of feelings after a coming out of a psychologically difficult relationship. Painting has been a transformative medium for integration of heart ache, grief, hope, inspirational images and experiences. Painting has helped connecting to the authentic/true self again which has brought healing, change and confidence. Acrylic on canvas is my choice of meduim with techniques from abstract of feelings, to pours and playing around with balloons, dragging techniques and string, to more relatable objects like birds or flowers etc. I enjoy a range of blues with black but also bright variety of colour. Painting has been a lesson in letting go of the need to control outcomes through allowing the artwork to evolve from what I initially imagined. This is also a bigger life lesson we can all learn from. I hope the love radiates from my heart into your home!
