SERAPH Painting

Art has always been a part of my life is some way. In school growing up I would often find myself disconnected from the lecture and lost in some doodle I had manufactured in my imagination. What started with a #2 pencil and crayons would continue to evolve and as I grew older, I turned to painting through inspiration of a friend who had been making paintings of his own through the years. The pieces you will find fired though my fingertips are inspired by routine interactions with the world, daydreams, and my fascination with the way geometry builds the world we see in front of us. My work is free of limits. What I create is often at random, though it would not be uncommon to find a collection of similar works follow an original that I felt could spur a sequel or series. I am drawn to excite a blank canvas with bright color and at times, use the power of monochromatic themes to contrast our otherwise colorful world. My goal with any piece is to stimulate the imagination, incite perspective, and bring the viewer a joy they might never have known existed. I am a born and raised Kansan. My wife and I live with our 4 cats, that often “help” with my work. Alongside my art, I have a mainly mechanical background having worked primarily for car dealerships and in aircraft manufacturing over the years. I am an avid gamer, enjoy tinkering with cars, and my wife and I enjoy traveling and time with our kitties.
