My name is Niko Ekman and I am an artist based in Turku, Finland. I was born in the 70's here in Finland in a small town called Rauma. So I'm a middle-aged man now, but I'm mentally a child forever and I will not ever change! Mainly I do acrylic on canvas which fall into the category of Scandinavian Abstract Expressionism. Sometimes I also paint with oil on canvas. I also love to do pretty crazy paintings like funny faces in a very childish & naive style. They always make me feel good. And I often laugh out loud as I paint them and think no one dares to show that kind of thing to anyone, but in the end I think the day can’t start very badly when you look at a funny faces on your own wall right in the morning!
