An enthusiastic, creative and artistic person, who show an ability to develop new skills when challenged. A hardworking and reliable person capable of working on my own initiative and part of a team and also have good communication skills. My work is inspired by the natural world and by those artists who represent it through its wonder and grandeur and by allowing the mind to corss the barrier between the physical universe and the imaginary one. The influences that have inspired me on my own journey are those artists such as Turner , who embraced the power and the majesty of the natural world and attempted to harness both it's destructive force and its magical qualities to focus it (in a painting) into a single point of sublime beauty. i found your links on facebook, Mark Noble is an artist and painter based in Street, Somerset. This website displays his most recent paintings, some of which are for sale. I am a southwest base artist , my art is base here in the southwest, and on the wonder of the land and sea, your Mark, "Coming late into art after 18 years working in a plastics factory, you might expect Mark Noble's work to reflect a certain cynicism that is all too popular with the contemporary art crowd. Yet Noble is no post-industrial iconoclast or sarcastic nihilist. Rather, he sets himself within the same lineage of Romanticism as Turner, taking cues from the "˜painter of light' in his ambient use of colour as he attempts to capture moments of nature that pass us by. For Noble, who was born with learning difficulties, art is no isolated retreat or members only club, but a way for him to "˜connect to others.' As such, there is little difficult or obtuse imagery in Noble's work. Even in his "˜Ethereal' series, what supernatural imagery he provides is grounded in realism and brings to mind the paganism of Thomas Hardy, a mysticism that comes from the interplay of the light, land and generational imagination. For all the deliberate spectacle of works such as "˜Ryders,' Noble's strongest "˜Ethereal' works are his renderings of the Glastonbury Tor, steeped in natural mystery and swathed in fog. Indeed, despite some colourful and Impressionistic paintings of Venice, Noble seems most at home working in his native Somerset. His best works come from his "˜Untamed Somerset' sequence, all natural light, vibrant colours and vital flora that leaps off the canvas.
