serendipity Painting

My name ist Patricia Armbruster. When I first started painting as a child, I felt a great sense of joy—but I never imagined it would one day become my profession. In between lay a long journey, shaped by many creative experiences. Whenever I began to paint in the morning, immersing myself in colors and moods, I immediately felt calm. I could forget everything around me—and most of all, I felt happy. I believe in intuition and experience, as well as the engagement with oneself and the material, are essential—but even more important is trust in the process. I experience the act of creation as an inner treasure, one that ultimately finds expression on the canvas. My work reveals how colors and forms can come together in ways that are both dynamic and harmonious. My works are primarily created with acrylic paints on canvas, using techniques like squeggeeing to craft dynamic structures and layered compositions. I studied fashion graphics and painting in Munich and spent time living in Barcelona and Paris, where I gathered artistic inspiration. In Paris, I worked at Kenzo in the field of textile design and in Barcelona, at a design agency, further honing her expertise in color composition and pattern creation. These experiences have strongly influenced my artistic style. Additionally, I worked as a textile designer, costume designer, lecturer and author. Artistic Vision for the serie Frequency These works - an interplay of sound and colors - translate rhythmic vibrations/frequencies into a visual experience – incorporating music, the squeegee technique and layers rich in color. Through the layering of multiple paint layers, I create deptheffects that transport the viewer to another world. In the Serie Continuum I worked with many different layers to open up a depth and wideness. In this space the viewers gaze can move from the foreground through the middle ground to the horizon without barriers and breaks. Serie "Both sides of the story" A beautiful floral embroidery that would serve as inspiration. I wanted to connect this work with my own and give it a new, broader scope. Whatever the reasons for the creation of these often very elaborately designed embroidery, they are almost nonexistent in our culture today. I removed it from the frame and stretched it to the front. A surprisingly new perspective. The back—tangled, raw, imperfect—revealed a second, completely different story than the superficial beauty.
