Barbara Landberg

Barbara Landberg grew up in Maplewood, N.J. and spent most of her adult years in Englewood, NJ and Tenafly, NJ. Her first drawing class opened her eyes to observing nature and seeing all the beauty surrounding her. She has been painting for over 40 years and has been exhibiting in shows since 2007. She has won first and second place awards in 7 shows for her Mixed Media and Collage paintings. She has also had 6 solo exhibits. Barbara. enjoys Watercolor painting, Chinese Brush Painting, Acrylics, Mixed Media and Collage. She has also done batik and silk painting. Any day that she makes time for art is a good day. At the end of 2020 Barbara relocated to Northern California.

Barbara graduated from the University of Rochester and got a Master's Degree from Columbia University. She had a fulfilling career as an elementary school teacher for 35 years and taught art and creativity courses in the summers. She always incorporated art into her curriculum and guided many students and their parents on trips to The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Spending a semester of college in Florence Italy was the highlight of her college years.

Barbara has had 6 solo shows and exhibited in many group shows. She has won first and second place awards for her mixed-media and acrylics and an award from The Salmagundi Club in NYC. Detailed listings are on her website at www.barbaralandberg.com
