Very early in my artistic practice, discovering the works of romantic paintings, particularly those of William Turner, touched my sensitivity in a desire to understand the vast landscape and explore the rendering of the atmosphere in the paintings. I realize my works in an intuitive approach, from blends of colors, textures and effects of transparency, which are sometimes the result of chance and sometimes voluntary. It requires me to have an open mind to allow those things happen, and where I have to find the balance between chance and planning. This allows me to always push the boundaries of my creation. My works are the result of a treatment of acrylic paint showing transparencies, parts of mortar, cracks and scraping.
