Giovanni Randazzo

Im a visual artist and teacher of the University of Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia), graduated from the University of Vincennnes (Paris 8) with a Masters degree on Contemporary art and new media from the same university. Although my artistic practice has had great development in the field of painting, i have a particular interest on research on visual narratives, the use of new technologies in art and the appropriation of the cinematographic language in contemporary art. My work emerges from the constant cross between art and science and often assumes forms as videos, installations and video installations. These are the result of continuous reflections on themes like the inner perception of time, the fragility of the future of humanity and the consequences of the action of human, face to phenomena like climate change or species extinction. I have exhibited in galleries, institutions and independent spaces in countries like France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Colombia and he actually lives in Bogotá, Colombia.
