Thomas Hallon Hallbert

"Impression - Expression - Imprint"
Since 1970 known as hallon.
I mainly express myself in printed art.
And since 2012 I also do paintings.

I am born and grow up in Stockholm, Sweden. At the age of 17 I broke up from school and home and hitch-hiked through western Europe to North Africa during 8 months. When I returned to Stockholm I entered an art school covering a number of basic artistic activities.
Later I came to spend about 15 years in the north of Sweden where I also built up my first typographic and artistic print workshop.
In 1995 after the birth of our daughter, me and my painting wife moved to the south of France where we still live and are active as artists.

I had my basic art education in Stockholm, Sweden in the years of 1970-71 and 1974-75. In 1982 I attended a cours in blockprinting that became a breakthrough for my following works of printed art. In 1991-92 I spent a year in an International Art Center outside Barcelona, Spain where I produced several series of stencil monotype prints, and also participated in a few exhibitions with other international artist from the Art Center.

2014 :
Exhibition/christmas market at "L’Atelier de la main gauche" in Toulouse, December and January (2015).
Exhibition at "Kulturkossan", Järvsö, Sweden, the month of May.
Exhibition at "Galerie Parenthèses", bd Raymond Vittoz in Castres, France in April.
Participation à une expo culture japonaise à office de tourisme, Lautrec le mois d’avril.
Participation à la Fête de l'estampe le 26 mai avec atelier ouverte.

2013 :
Exposition dans mon atelier à Castres, le mois de mai.
Participation à la Fête de l'estampe le 26 mai avec atelier ouverte.
Participation avec atelier ouverte à La fête de livre à Lautrec pendant 2 jours ; 13 et 14 juillet.
Exposition à Pot Ethique à Mazamet pendant septembre et octobre.
Exposition chez Association de Développement Touristique à Sorèze 25 octobre aux 22 novembre.
