Jan Reynolds

I hold some world climbing and skiing records, and made the Olympic Biathlon Team, a combination of rifle marksmanship and cross country skiing. However I consider myself a writer/photographer/author, with about 20 non-fiction books out, for both children and adults. My passion is extreme photography, which shifts my mindset. I have made my way to very remote areas, to capture the essence of a place and it's people, and try to replicate this sense for my viewer.

After graduating from the University of Vermont majoring in Ski Team (We were NCAA champions every year, the collegiate best) I joined men on record setting expeditions, often sponsored by National Geographic. My photographic education came from working in the field with some of the best Nat Geo extreme photographers in the school of hard knocks.

I have sold some of my Tibetan Blue images at Christie's Auctions in New York City 2000-2015, have exhibited at United Nations 1990, and Asia Society in NYC 1985, Galleria Fine Arte, Arts Riot, and Outerlands Gallery in Vermont, And TCNJ in New Jersey 2000-2015.
