Hi! I’m Juan Carlos Rosa Casasola, a Spanish artist based in Berlin.
My work explores visibility, diversity, and immersion across different artistic disciplines. I’m drawn to ideas that challenge the boundaries between public and private, individual and collective, physical and virtual — always looking for ways to reflect how we live, see, and connect.
I like using bold colors and strong concepts in delicate, thoughtful explorations of who we are as a society. I often work in series, building visual languages that are expressive, emotional, and accessible. I’m especially interested in how art can make us feel seen — and help us see others in new ways.
My work has been exhibited in galleries and cultural institutions across Europe, and forms part of private collections in Germany, Spain, and the US. I also teach painting and drawing workshops in Berlin, sharing what I love and learning from each person I meet along the way.
Here you’ll find a selection of available artworks from the past few years. Many pieces have found new homes — but there are still unique works from each series available. Feel free to reach out if something resonates or if you’d like to know more.
I studied Fine Arts in Valencia, Spain, where I also completed a Master’s in Art Production with a focus on Visual Thought and Culture. During that time, I was lucky to receive the Best Academic Record award for my BA year. In 2015 I moved to Berlin with an Erasmus+ grant to study European Media Studies at Universität Potsdam — and felt in love with Berlin and never really left. These years shaped the way I think about images, space, and how we connect through art.
Over the years, I’ve been lucky to show my work in different places across Spain, Germany, and beyond, from small artist-run spaces to relevant cultural institutions.
Some recent highlights include my solo show Urban Gardening at Fincan e.V. in Berlin (2025), and earlier solo exhibitions like #SHOW at Salmaia Gallery in Altea, and De ida y vuelta at the Culture Institute Juan Gil-Albert in Alicante.
I've also taken part in group exhibitions such as València 4x4 at CCCC in Valencia (2023), Desembalaje in Madrid, and shows in Berlin like Spanische Nacht at the Gemäldegalerie or Limitierte Auflage at Raum E116.
Earlier on, I showed work in places like the CCCB in Barcelona (DrapArt), IVAM in Valencia, and the Fine Arts Academy in Munich.
Every exhibition — big or small — has helped me grow, connect with new people, and better understand the stories I want to tell through my art.
