Patrick Klauss

Born 1971 in Lucerne, Switzerland to Czech parents who had sought asylum in the West. In 1981, my family moved to Toronto, Canada where I still live and work.

I love to travel and take pictures. My photographs document my journeys and life around me.
I have been inspired over and over again by the Czech photographers Koudelka and Holomicek, and the Italian photographer Paolo Pellegrin. I believe in photography of feeling and use my camera to capture emotion ... well I try.

I am a self-taught photographer. I have had solo shows in Toronto, Canada and Prague, Czech Republic. My work has also been on display at the Foreign Correspondent's Club in Cambodia.,
