How I put the paint down is controlled by my relationship with the subject. I think I now understand what Picasso meant because I have reached that honest stage where the painting just happens through my emotions and my skills as an artist are always in the background. I have reached a very exciting stage where I can just be honest and and free just like a child and just let the paint and the emotions and feelings flow honestly. It is a wonderful stage to reach. I feel so free.

and I know that all the art I make is totally honest and is a part of me.

I am me.

I no longer have to paint what people expect of me.
