For me it's all about observation and interpretation. Looking for the light and observing how it affects color and line is my main pursuit. Though I tend to be attracted by subjects from nature, the subject matter is really secondary. Art has been my solace and my challenge for most of my life. I will forever continue to experiment with drawing and painting - there's so much to learn! I've been participating in plein air events and paint-outs for well over a decade and am currently trying to take my field experience into the studio, as well. During this time, I have earned awards and sold many pieces for which I'm so grateful to my collectors and to my art friends.
