I was born and raised in Yorkshire. I studied Visual Communication at the Glasgow School of Art. I have travelled extensively and have visited the most part of Europe, parts of Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, thus affording me the opportunity to further develop my passion for observation and also to absorb elements of other cultures. I lived in Italy for several years and that experience allowed me to immerse myself in the rich artistic and architectural heritage of the country thus pushing and indeed challenging many of my conceptions and perceptions of art, and ultimately teaching me that the greatest value in any opera of art is to be found in the details. It is these details which I always seek to present in new or surprising ways and I hope that I am able to draw the viewers attention to areas he/she would not normally look and consider familiar objects in unusual ways.
