I was born in the capital of a beautiful, small Caucasian country-Georgia. My attraction to art started at a very young age when for hours at a time I leafed through beautiful art albums, which were part of my family’s rich book library. Collections of impressionists of the Russian Pushkin Art museum, Ancient Egyptian Art books, and Georgian naïve artist Nico Pirosmani were my favorites.. These impressions were captured in my memory for years until I had a chance to see some of them and many other famous artworks in real life. My taste and perception of beauty were formed and shaped by the ambiance of the unfading beauty of the city’s unique architecture, which combines European and Asian elements, the country’s diverse nature, and folk art. In grade 5 of secondary school, I attended visual Art lessons at the Pioneers Palace in Tbilisi for 2 years, followed by Nico Nikoladze's visual art school at age 14. These art lessons made an impact on choosing my future profession, which is close collaboration of Art and Engineering. After graduating from Georgian Technical University with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture I continued working and experimenting with different art techniques and colors, accepting this passion for art as a second occupation. Since 2007 I have been permanently residing in Ontario, Canada. My current artworks are based on the enormous impulses that this country has given me with its natural beauty and tranquility. Some other inspiration comes from music, books, and people I meet. Art for me is primarily colors and shapes in which I experiment a lot. My art is in private collections in Georgia, Israel, the USA, Canada, and France.
