I am inspired by nature, by the everyday, by small moments, by stories, big and small adventures. Most of my work has a bit of story to tell, some humor, some impossible and possible, some surprises. I present my world to you as I see it. My ceramic pieces are hand built, mostly pinched and coiled. I like soft organic form and touch, movement and texture. It is all about simple, minimalists, raw, timeless organic forms and texture. I am fascinated by ancient pottery. The observation during museum visits in South America and Europe opened my eyes to the beauty of ancient forms. All of my pieces are unique and one of a kind. I hand build my pieces with patience, intention and care. It is very slow and meditative process. I contemplate on passing of time, early people who created extraordinary work. The marks of my hands and touch are part of my work and that should be embraced.
