A self-taught artist who draws her inspiration from the cells, Dalal created the Dalalism concept to highlight the fact that our thoughts affect our cells and in turn our wellbeing. She says “It is the cells from the artist’s unique perspective”. To her, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience and once we accept this concept, our outlook on life changes dramatically. She tries to depict the “universe” within which ought to be acknowledged and her terms “How are your cells” and “Look after your cells” are her way to draw the attention to this beautiful universe within. Her artwork has been exhibited (solo and group exhibitions) in Sydney, Beirut, Dubai, Paris and New York. She has been invited as a guest speaker to the American University of Beirut (AUB) and the Lebanese American University (LAU), The Lebanese International University (LIU) among many others. As a consultant she worked on projects that involved strengthening peace through art and capacity building in Lebanon, Syria and UAE where she worked with women, youth, volunteers, Syrian refugees and with people having special needs.
