Kat Serediuk has acquired her BFA in Painting and Drawing at Ontario College of Art and Design University and currently works out of Hamilton, Ontario. As the daughter of wildlife artist John Serediuk, Kat grew up in an extremely creative environment and imagined nothing else for her own life and career. Wildlife imagery has been deeply engrained in the artist, Kat recalls rummaging through bird guides and wildlife text books in her early life and exploring on weekly hikes with her family. When observing and enjoying a Kat Serediuk piece, the meaning is not to be obvious or literal. Kat Serediuk seeks to depict beautiful and aesthetic first images will holding onto a deeper meaning below the surface. Each Kat Serediuk piece utilizes bold and playful colours to illustrate the more serious issues surrounding the conservation of Canadian wildlife. Kat uses geometric and hard line structures to demonstrate the invasive characteristics of human's upon the natural world. The animals express a vulnerability and friendliness that is not always understood by mankind and are painted in a graphical and illustrative style with detail and care. Kat's piecespresent a dynamic new contribution to the world of fine art. Please contact for questions.
