I was drawn to the definition where "the amount of entropy is also a measure of the molecular disorder, or randomness, of a system" as I feel this relates to how I compose my paintings - there is a degree of randomness and disorder which somehow, when the painting is finished, brings itself into ord...

Born in Redhill, UK in 1967. I started working as a full time artist in 2005 while living in Dubai, supplying artwork to individuals, interior designers and hotels. Now living in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK I work from my studio at the end of my garden where I retreat to create my abstract expressionist paintings. The paintings use may layers of paint and involve a process of layers and mark-making to create something that talks to me, coming from memories and images in my mind. I often use my favourite blues and greens as well as a dash of neon pink and gold. For me, many of my paintings are aerial views, landscapes or coastal scapes. I have lived not far from the coast pretty much all of my life and am always drawn back to the sea and the coastline and this is reflected in my artwork, whether obviously or in abstract form. I have paintings in private collections in Dubai, Spain, UK, USA, Japan as well as being commissioned to create artwork for a home of the Abu Dhabi royal family.
