This painting is made on canvas paper, with acrylic paint. It is the third part of my ultra violet triptych. I named this painting "forest fern" because this green shades of colors reminds me of forest grounds in deep woods. hope you like it :)

I'm Croatian based artist, living my whole life in Croatia. I have been creating my art for more than ten years. I drew my whole life, but it was 2009 when I've started to paint. My first and only medium is and was acrylic, it goes well with my impatient nature, I have tried oils for a short period of time but it didn't suit me so well, so I have continued with acrylics. For many years I have tried a lots of different styles and techniques from realistic to abstract art. Currently I'm working in abstract style because I found it most amusing, and also most relaxing. I always say for myself that I have two sides, one is bright and other is dark, and for the past years I have been painting realistic art with darker colors and very controlled brush strokes, and now I'm doing totally contrary. I think I have been repressing my light side, once I've opened it, it was like explosion of colors and uncontrolled, loose brush strokes. I have struggled with art, just like all the artist, art is definitely emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes it drives me mad, sometimes I wish I didn't have that crazy urge to make art, often I've get frustrated because I think my art is not good enough, or if I don't have time to paint, whatever it is, art for me is something constant, something I'm coming back over ond over again. I started to make abstract art and use very bright colors to heal my artistic mind, to loosen up, it comes to me like some kind of meditation, also i think is very pretty and positive when you come to your home and see this bright paintings on your wall, makes your day a little bit better.
