René Hein lives and works in Little Rock, Arkansas, Her work blends the formal concerns of traditional figure painting with elements of contemporary culture. With a B.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of Wisconsin, M.A. in Fine Art from the University of New Mexico, a background in graphic design and experience as a museum curator, her art practice and design work bleed into one another.
