I've been working on a series of CA Native Plants and it's exciting to paint plants that are lesser known. My goal is to give each plant a voice, so it will be easily identified and known for its beauty. These plants are breathtaking and gives hope, joy and healing.

Judy Lew Loose, an artist with over 3 decades of career experience, is taking watercolors up a notch.  Her unique blend of color, light and shadow shimmer with a splash of pointillism. This method of using tiny dots of pure color, explores a new technique in watercolors. Judy, is a pioneer in this style and her paintings are collected by both professional organizations and private collectors.  Judy can amplify the drama of the moment in time.  Her ability to see color in all facets of painting is apparent in her professional background in fine art.  In her words, a painting may take several months or years. However, after years of painting, her painting styles progress and change. This is symbolic of the artist who is experiencing transformations in her personal life as well. Her talent of seeing light and shadow cast upon everything she creates and her passion for the subject is explosive. Judy truly sees the spark in a subject and takes great effort in sharing her vision.
