His journey as an artist began early, studying at the Uzhhorod College of Applied Arts (now the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts) where he developed a deep connection to color, form, and texture. After serving in the army, he continued his studies at one of the country’s leading art institutions — the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (now the Lviv National Academy of Arts), specializing in artistic weaving.
