Protest- is a series of works, where landscapes inspired by the wild places of Ukraine. Seen with my eyes. The painting carries a charge of colour, energy and summer heat. A riot of vegetation combined with buildings, fences and pillars, like moments in the memory of childhood.

My name is Lyudmila Martynova, I am 36 years old. I am an artist and a mum. I was born in Slavyansk, Ukraine, currently based in Budapest. I studied architecture and graduated from Kharkov State University, Architecture faculty. I started to work while I was still a student – all in all, I had worked in several architectural bureaus. I was lucky to work at amazing projects, with amazing people, I love architecture and I am good at this job. But since my early years in life I knew that my calling was being a painter. I make drawings and paintings since I was a child. I always tried to find my own path and my art style. My work as an architect helped me a lot. I gained a lot of skills by experimenting in both fields, by combining architectural and drawing techniques both in one work.
