Hong (b. 1985) is a self-taught Vietnamese artist based in Hanoi. She discovered painting in 2016 as a natural extension of her journey through media and education. She holds a Master’s degree in Communications from Melbourne, Australia. Hong draws what moves her: flowers, grass, trees, people, and the quiet moments in between. Her paintings are acts of appreciation, gentle portraits of fleeting emotions and inner states. In this way, each work becomes a self-portrait of a particular moment in life. Working primarily with acrylic and oil on canvas, she explores abstraction as a means of expressing subtle emotional layers and invisible inner motion. She is also experimenting with ceramics and mixed media, expanding her visual language through tactile and intuitive forms. "I paint what moves me A tree, a flowers, a wind, a mountain, a color fleeting emotions, chattering thoughts, and silent moments My paintings hold space for the unspoken, whispering softly: feel the things”
