This white squirrel lives around the home of relatives that we happened to be visiting. While it is not typical of the kind of work that I do, this was a very interesting animal. The squirrel almost posed for me in this spot for the image.

I have been an artist my entire life and loved exploring where my creativity would take me. In 2010 I was diagnosed with a rare disease that put me in a wheelchair. One day I was depressed and feeling very uninspired. I happened to have a point and shoot camera with me and I took a very artistic photo of a lamp post. I could not believe that I could create art with a camera. That caused me to dive headlong into learning all I could about photography and seeing where it would take me as an artist. The rest is history. I battled that illness and got out of the wheelchair and was finally free of my cane. Through several life changing decisions, I ended up in Omaha married to the love of my life. I am a Chaplain for Hospice and my wife and I are foster parents. I just recently began a new battle. This one started with a shaking finger that I could not stop. It progressed and I am now diagnosed and being treated for Parkinson's Disease. I believe that my life as a fine art photographer has just begun and that my best work will still be accomplished.
